Joint field trip with students from the Master in Geosciences and Master in Geological and Mining Engineering

On the 4th of November, students from the Masters in Geosciences and from the Masters in Geological and Mining Engineering participated in a field trip within the scope of the curricular units Impact Assessment and Environmental Requalification and Analysis and Management of Natural Risks. They visited an ornamental limestone quarry in Fátima, where they were able to observe aspects related to open pit exploration, as well as various measures to minimize impact and environmental requalification. In the coastal area between Nazaré and São Martinho do Porto, aspects related to natural hazards and their management were analyzed and discussed.
