Master's Degree in Teaching Biology and Geology in the 3rd cycle of Basic Education and in Secondary Education at the University of Coimbra
The Master in Teaching Biology and Geology in the 3rd cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education (MEBG) is intended for the initial training of Teachers for these pre-university study cycles. It constitutes a quality offer for students with skills in Natural Sciences who consider a career linked to teaching in public or private schools appealing, actively contributing to the education of the new generations, through their literacy and inclusion in society. In the coming years, in view of the perceived aging of the Basic and Secondary Education teaching community, it is expected that Masters in Teaching will constitute an excellent training investment and employability is practically guaranteed.
The MEBG covers curricular units from the Departments of Earth Sciences and Life Sciences at FCTUC, as well as from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at UC. The second year takes place in internship centers in secondary schools in Coimbra.
