Degree in Geology, 1st year, 1st time

First of all, we would like to welcome you to the Department of Earth Sciences and the University of Coimbra.

In order to facilitate your integration into the new academic path, we present some useful information:

• most of the disciplines of the Degree in Geology are composed of two types of teaching activities: theoretical (T) and theoretical-practical (TP) /practical and laboratory (PL);
• it is not necessary to register for the classes corresponding to the theoretical classes (which have only one available time) but enrollment is mandatory from September 5th in the theoretical-practical/practical classes and laboratories, as several times are available in classes with a maximum limit of students; as an example for the 1st semester, two timetable hypotheses are presented, but others can be chosen:

as a recommendation for optional subjects to be attended in the 2nd semester of the 1st year, we recommend 2 (two) of this set: Matemática Gerais II; Química Geral II; Biologia II; ou Palinologia.
