Description:
Program Activities under Mentoring Program at DEM@UC
- Development of students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering through the monitoring of a former student of the department with a recognized professional course.
- Implement a tutoring process for students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering by students in more advanced years;
- Half-day or full-day workshops (semester)
- Summer Journeys
- Shared coffee breaks or brunches (with a pitch from someone with a recognized career) (quarterly) (organized by student tutors)
Objectives:
- Complementary curricular training, looking at the learning paradigm in a different way, looking for levels of competence and knowledge extended to other domains of knowledge (other than the area of technical training)
- Preparing for the new realities of the labor market, namely training in strategic areas, both economically and socially
- Re-dimensioning the structure of thought and socialization to break down stereotyped barriers
- Encourage learning to balance or manage the binomial family versus career;
- Enhance leadership skills
- Foster understanding of the active and responsible role in society
