Advanced Studies Seminar Series “Hegel’s concept of Tragedy — An Inquiry into the Hegelian System”

The first session of the Cycle of Advanced Studies Seminar, with the scientific coordination of CEIS20 researchers Edmundo Balsemão Pires and Joana Ricarte, among others, will focus on the topic “The aesthetical and political category of the Tragic”.

This session will feature speakers Rachel Falkenstern (St. Francis College, New York), who will talk about “Hegel Tragic on Schiller’s Late Romantic Tragic Heroines”, and Francesco Campana (University of Padua), who will discuss “Tragedy and Irony: On Hegel and the Early German Romantics”.
