Projetos

Even though limited in time and constrained by different types of institutional criteria bound within the requirements of various calls, research projects are the life-blood of any research centre. Funded through a variety of competitive and community channels, agreements, protocols and networks, from municipal, regional and national to bilateral and European ones, research projects contribute to the centre’s:

  • (inter)national visibility and research community-building;
  • keeping up to date and creating innovative methodologies ;
  • peer recognition and international networks;
  • quality publications;
  • active engagement of stakeholders.

CEIS20 researchers develop individual projects funded through competitive agencies such as FCT, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, and European Commission, as well as collaborate with the whole range of institutional actors in taking up research endeavors to address complex societal challenges.

To provide support for budding research initiatives by the CEIS20 researchers, CEIS20 Scientific Coordination has recently allocated funds to set up an internal funding programme for projects up to 12 months that serve as pilot actions for further competitive funding and consortium building.
