Developed by CEIS20 researchers Maria Cristina Vieira de Freitas (Principal Investigator - PI in charge), Manuela Barreto Nunes (Co-Principal Investigator), Ana Isabel Ribeiro (team member) and Maria Manuel Borges (consultant), the project “25 April in 3D: Decolonise, Democratise, Develop” is one of the projects nominated for the "25 April and Portuguese Democracy" competition, according to the preliminary results published on 16 April.

As part of the protocol signed with the Mission Structure for the Commemorations of the 50th Anniversary of the 25 April 1974 Revolution, the FCT launches the competition "25 April and Portuguese Democracy ".

This competition aims to promote interdisciplinary scientific research on the 50th Anniversary of 25 April, in fields such as history, political science, law, sociology, economics, inter alia. Research lines include civic and political participation, social and economic dynamics, written and visual narratives, decolonisation, memory of the revolution and democratisation, among others.
