Russian as a Transnational Language: Resonance, Remembrance, Renewal

28 july, 2023≈ 2 min read

This book, published by Routledge in the series Routledge Critical Studies in Multilingualism, is co-organised by CEIS20 Science Manager Olga Solovova and Sabina Vakser (University of Melbourne, Australia).

Written by experts from various fields of research (law, sociology, anthropology, communication studies and linguistics), this volume is at the crossroads of the sociolinguistics of mobility, multilingualism and diaspora studies. The book raises important questions about what connects and separates people from different Russian-speaking communities. It also challenges established ideas of memory, nostalgia, authenticity and belonging, and ideas about the future and change.
