Memories in Motion: History and Trauma in Ibero-American Cinema

The book Memórias em Movimento: História e Trauma nos Cinemas Ibero-Americanos (Memories in Motion: History and Trauma in Ibero-American Cinema) was published by the University of Coimbra Press and was coordinated by CEIS20 researchers (Group 4 – Artistic Currents and Intellectual Movements), Iván Villarmea Álvarez, Júlia Vilhena Rodrigues and Silvana Mariani. The volume is available in open access on the Press website and will be published in print in early 2024. The volume is a spin-off of the 1st International Conference on Film Studies: Cinema, Aesthetics and Memory, held at the University of Coimbra in 2021, with the participation of 13 authors from different countries, and includes an exclusive interview with filmmaker Patricio Guzmán.
