Carlos Manuel Faísca (integrated researcher of Groups 1 and 8 – History, Memory, Public Policies | Changing Landscapes. Long term LAB) and member of the CEIS20 Coordination has recently been elected President of the Portuguese Association of Economic and Social History (APHES). Together with four other researchers – Bruno Lopes (CIDEHUS, U. Évora), Ana Rita Rocha (IEM - Nova FCSH), Roger Lee de Jesus (Leibniz Universität Hannover) and Yvette Santos (IHC and IN2PAST - Nova FCSH) – they take on the challenge of leading the association for the next two years. The main objective is to consolidate APHES as a reference organisation for the Portuguese historiographical community and for all those working on issues related to the Portuguese past.
