The project “MemoMarranos – Document mapping of the ‘marranos’ in the 20th century: before, during and after the Obra do Resgate, the WWII and the Holocaust”, coordinated by João Paulo Avelãs Nunes, has been approved for funding under the “Portugal and the Holocaust: research and memory” programme. This project aims to contribute to the strengthening of a field of intervention that CEIS20 has been working on – Jews, New Christians, and ‘marranos’; anti-Judaism and anti-Semitism, philo-Semitism and Zionism, the Holocaust, and the creation of the State of Israel.
