“Cinema for Democracy” Support Programme

Applications for the “Cinema for Democracy” support programme open until 17 November. The programme will award €790 000 to projects that tie in with the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the 25 April 1974 revolution and contribute to reflection on its relevance today.

The programme is aimed at: film and audiovisual production projects, whether fiction, documentary or animation; the organisation of seminars, conferences, workshops or similar activities; training activities; and the organisation of Portuguese film and audiovisual exhibitions/cycles.

This is an initiative of the Commission for the Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of 25 April, in partnership with the Instituto do Cinema e do Audiovisual, I.P. (ICA) and the Fundo de Fomento Cultural (FFC).
