CEIS20 researcher Sérgio Dias Branco is now a member of “COREnet: Connecting Theory and Practical Issues of Migration and Religious Diversity”, an interdisciplinary network with researchers from 33 countries and EU funding through the COST – European Cooperation in Science and Technology.

“Connecting Theory and Practical Issues of Migration and Religious Diversity” (COREnet) is an interdisciplinary network aimed at knowledge production, knowledge exchange and capacity building across Europe at the intersection of migration and religious diversity, with a particular emphasis on bottom-up research.

The network aims to contribute to overcoming barriers within and between European countries through an approach that complements existing social science knowledge on migration and religious diversity with the study of religions and theological perceptions that can help explain the narratives of migrants and refugees.
