Isabel Baltazar, collaborating researcher at CEIS20 in Group 2 – Europeanism, Atlanticism and Globalisation, is the National Manager of the European Parliament’s Ambassador School Programme. In this context, she was interviewed for the programme Portugal em Direto (RTP 1) from the Quinta das Palmeiras School in Covilhã, where Europe Week was celebrated.

The “European Parliament’s Ambassador School” is aimed at secondary school students to prepare them for their role in the future of the European Union. It also aims to raise students’ awareness of European parliamentary democracy, the role of the European Parliament and European values. It also encourages students to take an active part in the EU’s democratic processes.

More than 100 schools are taking part in the programme. The theme for this year is “United in Biodiversity”.
