6th Octávio Lixa Filgueiras Prize

Organised by the Ílhavo Maritime Museum (MMI), a CEIS20 partner, this prize aims to commemorate and promote the work and memory of Professor and architect Octávio Lixa Filgueiras, one of Portugal’s most renowned researchers in the field of maritime culture.

The prize of 2,500 euros is intended to reward authors of unpublished works in the field of maritime and riverine culture, in particular in the fields of maritime history, naval architecture, maritime anthropology, underwater archaeology, maritime heritage and museology.

Applications must be submitted using the form available on the MMI website.

The author and title of the winning entry will be announced on 18 November during the National Maritime Day celebrations.
