The 9th International Congress on Mathematics and Computation in Music (MCM'24) is approaching. The event promotes the interdisciplinary exploration and debate on the theoretical, cognitive, performative, and pedagogical aspects of mathematical-musical thinking and computational practices.

The Mathematics and Computation in Music is a biennial international conference occurring in alternate years in Europe and the American continents. Currently in its 9th edition, MCM 2024 is organized by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies and the Centre for Informatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra, in partnership with the Society for Mathematics and Computation in Music and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra (FLUC).

The conference encourages submissions of unpublished papers that explore and debate practical or theoretical approaches to mathematical and/or computational music modeling, creation and application. The conference welcomes an interdisciplinary scope engaging fields within mathematics, engineering, cognition and music.
