Disconnect, detox, log out: discourses and practices of digital disconnection | 22.04 | 17:00 | MNMC

On 22 April, Ana Jorge will present a reflection on “Disconnect, detox, log out: discourses and practices of digital disconnection”. This fourth conference will take place at the Machado de Castro National Museum (MNMC) at 17:00.

The ‘CEIS20 Conferences’ cycle, which will take place once a month throughout this academic year, aims to bring leading figures in different fields of knowledge to the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies.

Ana Jorge is Coordinating Researcher at CICANT (Research Centre for Applied Communication, Culture and New Technologies) and Associate Professor at the Lusófona University. She holds a Ph.D. and a post-doctoral degree in Communication Sciences from FCSH-UNL. She specialises in media and cultural studies and her research focuses on children, youth and the media, audiences, celebrity culture and digital culture.
