Webinar: Introduction to Greek Textual Criticism

The Centre for Classical and Humanistic Studies (UC) and the Department of Classical Philology at the Complutense University of Madrid promote, in May and June, an Introduction to Greek Textual Criticism webinar, entirely online (via Zoom).
The fundamental principles and techniques of modern textual criticism, applied to Greek texts, will preferably be addressed using the resources available online (databases, catalogs, and digital libraries). After a brief theoretical introduction, trainees will be invited to confront critical editions with the reading of unpublished manuscripts and contribute to their critical apparatus. The course will carry out exercises of reading, transcription, and textual confrontation. The course guarantees the granting of a certificate of completion by the promoting research units.
