CECH: a European reference

The Centre for Classical and Humanistic Studies from the University of Coimbra is considered a European reference in terms of research with an impact in sustainable development!

This recognition stems from the inclusion, in the recently published report "Heritage Research Matters. Case studies of research impact contributing to sustainable development" (ISBN 978-91-7209-846-6), of two collaborative projects and extension to the community, to business and tourism sector, which are coordinated and developed by members of the unit, adding the collaboration of PhD students in Food Heritage:

  • Tasting Literature / Flavors of Writing (Portugal)
  • Academic Biscuits - Literary and Gastronomic Heritage of the University of Coimbra (Portugal)

The document comes from the Joint Programming Initiative on Cultural Heritage and was coordinated by the partner countries Sweden (Swedish National Heritage Board) and the United Kingdom (Arts and Humanities Research Council).
