In 2010, CECH organised Opera in Fieri for the first time, an initiative whose main aim was to create a space for young researchers to discuss the progress of their work. Although it was aimed at researchers in Classical Studies, the purpose was always to promote interdisciplinary discussions. As such, it accepted proposals on other fields of study, as long as the main research was within the historical or conceptual boundaries of the so-called "Ancient World". The last edition took place in 2017, co-organised by CECH and Origem da Comédia, a young section of the Portuguese Association of Classical Studies. Returning to the spirit that led to the creation of Opera in Fieri, the 1st Student Forum on Classical and Humanistic Studies will now take place in 2022. The work has been planned for two days, animated by two artistic moments, expressing Intangible Cultural Heritage that means a lot to our identity: Coimbra Fado (Fado Section of the Coimbra Academic Association) and Classical Theatre (XXIII International Classical Theatre Festival).
