Nathalia Monseff Junqueira

Professor of Ancient and Medieval History at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, Pantanal campus, since 2014.

PhD in History from the Graduate program in History from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) (CAPES scholarship), including a period at the University of Barcelona (PDEE – CAPES). Bachelor’s in History from the State University of Campinas (2005) and a Master’s in History from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2007). Research internships at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales / Paris - FR (May 2011) and at the University of Perugia (February 2020).

Expert in History, focusing on Ancient and Medieval History, particularly on the topics ancient history, ancient Egypt, Classical Greece, literature and French imperialism in the 19th century, gender studies, Herodotus, and Strabo.

Responsible for the Laboratory of Historical Documentation and Regional Studies (LDHER/CPAN). Faculty member of the following two research groups: Laboratory Group of Studies on the Roman Empire of UNESP/Franca (G. LEIR- Franca), Antiquity and Modernity: Ancient History, and Uses of the Past (UNIFESP), ATRIVM/UFMS - Interdisciplinary Space for Studies of Antiquity and Laboratory of Studies on the Roman Empire - USP.
