Janira Feliciano Pohlmann

PhD in History from the Federal University of Paraná (2016). From graduation to the PhD, was a fellow of Brazilian institutions for research development: National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), during the bachelor’s and PhD degrees; Coordination for Higher Personal Improvement (CAPES) during the master’s. Postdoctoral researcher at the Paulista State University, in the Franca campus (São Paulo) and is a fellow of the São Paulo State Research Support Foundation (FAPESP). Between 2013 and 2014 conducted a research internship at the University of Salamanca (Spain), under the supervision of Professor Maria José Hidalgo de la Veja, and, from 2018 to 2019, held internships at the University of Zaragoza (Spain), with Professor Maria Victória Escribano Paño, and at the Università degli Studi di Perugia (Italy) with Professor Rita Lizzi Testa.

Her teaching and research activities focus on the transformations, reelaborations, and permanencies that occurred between the 3rd and 5th centuries in the Roman West, within late antiquity’s chronological arch.

Member of the Laboratory Group of Studies on the Roman Empire of the UNESP/Franca (G. LEIR – Franca).
