Portuguese Proficiency Test for Master's Degrees in Teaching
| The assessment of the applications to these Master’s Degrees comprises a Portuguese Proficiency Test and an Interview besides the Analysis of the Applicants' Curricula, in accordance with what is provided for in Decree Law no. 79/2014 of 14th May which approves the legal framework for teaching qualifications in pre-school, basic and secondary education. (check the subsequent amendments). |

| The proficiency test is mandatory for ALL applicants: |
| It is not necessary to register in order to sit the Test. Applicants must present themselves to sit the test if their application the Master’s Degree Course in Teaching offered by the Faculty of Sport Science and Physical Education of the University of Coimbra has not been invalidated by the end of the day preceding the scheduled date. |
| Not attending the Test is reason for exclusion. |
| The written test is eliminatory, that is, only the applicants who successfully accomplish the written part of the test (a grade of 10 out of 20) will attend the speaking test. |

The applicants who have taken this test in the last two years at the Faculty of Sport Sciences and Physical Education of the University of Coimbra, and obtained a successful assessment, will be exempt from repeating it. |
| The tests carried out in other higher education institutions, with successful assessment in the last two years, will be accepted, provided that they are duly substantiated by means of an official declaration/certificate of the of higher education institution at which the applicant took the test. |
| Content of the written and speaking tests: |
| Universal themes concerning (national and/or international) current topics or themes that are relevant in an academic context. |
| Different text genres (argumentative, expository text). |
