Goal
Due to the uncertainty and disruption caused by the Covid 19 pandemic, the 7th TMS conference will be held between 16-18 November 2022. It is intended to be the first SUSTAINABLE EVENT of its kind. Not only because SUSTAINABILITY will be the main theme, covering two large areas - Tourism and Management - but also because the conference will be “designed, organised and implemented in a way that minimises potential negative impacts and leaves a beneficial legacy for the host community and all involved” (UNEP, 2009).
TMS conferences are organized by the UNIVERSITY OF THE ALGARVE/ESGHT and rank maybe among the largest academic events in Tourism and Management in Europe. In each of the last 3 editions (2014, 2016, 2018) TMS conferences received more than 500 paper submissions from around the world and had more than 340 paper presentations in each edition.
TMS conferences offer an exciting and successful combination of publishing opportunities, scientific and social programmes, top-level keynote speakers and cultural activities in a friendly, hospitable and safe atmosphere, fostering networking among participants.
